Abstract

The resources of oxidized lead and zinc have not been used enough for a long time. Due to the rapid depletion of lead-zinc sulfide ores, there is an urgent need to increase the efficiency of using lead-zinc oxide ores. Flotation is a universal method of pre-enrichment of lead-zinc oxide ores. Due to the strong hydration of lead-zinc oxide minerals and the easy dissolution of metal ions on the surface, flotation enrichment of lead-zinc oxide ores remains a serious problem today. Thus, sulfidization of oxidized lead-zinc minerals before flotation is crucial for changing their surface properties. In this paper, the effects of sodium sulfide sulfideizer on the efficiency of lead mineral enrichment in a sample of oxidized ore from the Koskuduk deposit are considered and the optimal consumption is determined. Additionally, the effects of sodium sulfide on the extraction of gold, silver and zinc in the main lead flotation were studied.
