Air transportation proved indispensable during the COVID-19 pandemic. This sector has ensured the continuity of global value chains, supporting the survival of European businesses. It also plays a key role in the transportation of essential goods, ranging from personal protective equipment (PPE) to medicines, medical equipment and vaccines. Currently, the report on air cargo transportation proceeds from a number of problems, primarily with the rise in oil prices and the introduction of tariffs. However, the report also reveals a number of opportunities, including the growth of e-commerce and the development of new markets. The growth of e-commerce and the growth of global trade tend to be factors moving forward. However, the growing demand for air cargo transportation has also created new problems.
