CHARACTERISTICS OF THE BIOMETRIC TECHNOLOGY

The article is devoted to the creation of a system of biometric identification of a person. A review was made on the methods of biometric authentication and personal identification. Fingerprints and a person’s face are considered as sources of biometric information. The main parameters that determine the effectiveness of the biometric technology are described, the test base is given, according to which these parameters are determined. Recommendations and criteria for choosing parameter values are formulated.
